Major Cities
Ryuujin
Ryuujin is not only the capital but also the largest city in Inuyashia. Two major telecommunications corporations call Ryuujin home, as well as Yori-Tomo Corporation, the largest in Inuyashia. Inuyashia is home to Kagome University, largest cultural arts university in the Gaian Union, as well as Yokohama Medical Center, which has beds for up to 2,000 patients and specializes in OBGYN, cardiology, urology, pediatry, and family health. Every January the city comes alive for the celebration paying homage to Empress Rebecca I, with festivals, concerts, circuses, and tournaments.
Ayame
This city is unique in Inuyashia for the fact it was built within an impact crater. Second largest city in Inuyashia, Ayame is the mining capital of the empire and Gaian Union, due to the large cache of silver, iron, aluminum, and gold. Roads leading into the city are built upon the actual cardinal directions of a compass, i.e north, south, east, west. Roads continue to a central point, called 'the spoke' by residents for its resemblance to a wagon wheel. Smaller community of Ayame lies just northwest of the main city and is where the manufacturing of cars and construction vehicles take place.
Ah-hin
Ah-hin is the third largest city in Inuyashia. Near the Border Mountains, Ah-hin has a protected weather pattern, thanks to the blocking mountains. Storms rarely get intense due to the blocking of moisture from The Gulf thousands of miles away. As a result, Ah-hin is more known for the intense cold spells than for precipitation. Snow can occur in the winter, however. Aviation capital of Inuyashia, Ah-hin's location is ideal for those wanting to learn how to fly.
Yoshimori (part in Trekylon)
Yoshimori has a double distinction. The first is its role as primary capital of the Gaian Union, while the other is the fact that part of it lies in Trekylon territory ( a small wall, no bigger than 5 stories, marks the boundary between the nations. Small Wall part of the larger Great Wall of Treksylvania). With 80% of the city in Inuyashian territory, surrounding the castle which gave its name to the city, Yoshimori was the logical choice for Royal Capital. Forestry, tourism, and cultural arts are its three mainstays, and the climate (Yoshimori of Inuyashia lies on the Cardassian or Border Mountains while Yoshimori in Trekylon is on the south side of the mountains) is anywhere from cold and dry to cool and wet in winter, and from warm and dry to humid and stormy in summer.
Ceila-Spiritual center of Mangaism
Ceila was chosen as the site to house the 'Book of Manga' by Empress Rebecca I after discovering them in the future site of Nuriko. She felt they would be safer in a village than in a major city. To her surprise, the village grew into the fifth largest city in the empire. The citizens built the Temple of the Sage as a place of worship and a means of housing the Book of Manga. Ceila thus became the spiritual center of Inuyashina...the Manga equivalent of Catholicism's Vatican City. Besides religion, tourism, and the arts are the mainstays of Ceila.
