Ryuujin is located in Celestia province, in a spot similar to where Nuriko was on their former home. To ensure her people would always feel protected, Empress Rebecca I had a barrier created with 4 statues marking the cardinal corners and named them for the God that represented them, Suzaku (Guardian of the South), Seiryu (Guardian of the West), Genbu (Guardian of the North) and Byakko (Guardian of the East). She found many of the sacred texts mentioned these 4 as protective beings and wise spirits which she felt was good to raise the hopes and spirits of her people. This location was perfect due to the nearby Meroko River. The Baldo Canal connects Ryuujin to the nearby port city of Chiriko that has become the new trade hub.. The Toya Highway connects Ryuujin to Yoshimori, capital of the Gaian Union, and thru Yoshimori, to Imperiopolis capital of the Galactic Empire of Trekylon-where it is known as the Imperial Highway. The Zoro Highway connects Ryuujin to the farmland areas in the western provinces of the empire, and also lead to the nearby Karin River. (Trekylon lists it as the River Dax) The Imperial Palace lies within the city boundaries, as the empress prefers to be among her people. Among the attractions in Ryuujin are the Statue of Inuyasha, commemorating the nation's namesake, The Pillars of the Two Eagles, symbolizing the union of the House of Olds and Harvey and foundation of the Dual Monarchy, and the Fountain of Ichigo which features a fountain that 'erupts' every hour on the hour, similar to Yellowstone's 'Old Faithful' geyser.
Sporting events such as sumo wrestling, baseball, and racing are popular with citizens and visiting dignitaries alike. The empress herself often can be seen with her retinue of 50 bodyguards at every gladiatorial match. Football has also made a comeback in Inuyashia, hence the Grand Coliseum not far from the Palace. There is also a large museum near downtown, called the Great Museum of Inuyashina, which houses artifacts, paintings, and sculptures as well as works of anime writers and cartoonists.
